After retiring from MLB at the end of the 2023 season, St. Louis Cardinals' legend Adam Wainwright is making the full-time switch to broadcasting.
It was announced on Thursday that he'll be joining FOX Sports for the 2024 season.
Per Barrett Sports Media on social media:
3x All Star and World Series Champ Adam Wainwright is joining @MLBONFOX as full-time analyst.
Waino will call a slate of games in the upcoming season including the MLB World Tour: London Series.

Wainwright has served as a special broadcaster during the 2020, 2021 and 2023 seasons.
Per a FOX release on the hire:
“I’m excited to join the FOX Sports family,” Wainwright said. “I love the game of baseball, and I really enjoy talking about the chess match that goes on between the pitcher and the hitter. Hopefully, my experience on the field will allow me the opportunity to share the game I love in a unique and deep way, bringing viewers closer to the game.”
One of the most accomplished pitchers of his generation, Wainwright finished at 200-128 for his career. He pitched to a lifetime 3.53 ERA as well, making three All-Star teams and winning two Gold Glove awards.
He helped the Cardinals win the 2006 World Series and will leave a big void in their clubhouse for 2024.
In an effort to replace him in the starting rotation, the team has signed a bevy of veterans, including Sonny Gray, Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson.
St. Louis finished last in the National League Central in 2023.
