Former Angels Legend Albert Pujols is Selling His Irvine Mansion

It's officially official, Albert Pujols is moving on.

Not only did he already retire from baseball, but he's also decided to part ways with the mansion he's owned for the past 11 years.

In 2012, the same year he signed with the Los Angeles Angels, the baseball icon bought the mansion in Los Angeles county for $5.5 million.

He spent the next 10 seasons with the Angels before he played a season with the Dodgers in 2021. Then for the final season of his major league career, he returned to St. Louis where he first kicked off his time in the MLB back in 2001. 

He's now decided to put his Spanish revival-inspired mansion in Irvine’s guard-gated Shady Canyon on the market for $9.98 million.

The three-story house, which was finished in 2010, has several features including eight bathrooms, an entertainment and wellness area on the basement level, a dedicated office space with built-ins on the top floor and a four-car garage. 

The backyard features a recently remodeled pool with a Baja step, slide, grotto, waterfall and spa according to the listing. The five-bedroom, 9,239-square-foot residence is also at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Clearly, the baseball great was living like a king during his stay here in Los Angeles, but it looks like he's ready to move onto the next chapter whatever that may look like post-baseball.

After 22 years spent playing in the major leagues, he's finally retired as one of the best to ever step up to the plate. In his final season, he surpassed 700 home runs and became only the fourth player to ever do so.

But unfortunately, if you were interested in buying the mansion in Los Angeles you might be out of luck, as there was a sale pending as of Feb. 6.
