The World Baseball Classic is approaching fast and will take place in the spring of 2023.

Originally scheduled for 2021, it was put on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, but next year, the WBC will be back for the first time since 2017.

Team USA was the champion in the last go-around.

Led by Mark DeRosa, who will manage the team, Team USA is going to have a stacked roster featuring Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story, Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, and J.T. Realmuto.

But another star player has committed to Team USA.

Last night, during the Little League Classic, Baltimore Orioles star Cedric Mullins was mic’d up on ESPN, where he announced that he too would be committing to play for Team USA in the WBC.

Mullins Commits To Team USA

If you thought Team USA was stacked, wait until more star players commit to the defending WBC champions.

Mullins is just the latest addition to the team and more stars are expected to follow suit.

Mark DeRosa is going to have a solid ballclub to work with when the Classic gets underway.

Team USA will be poised to repeat as WBC Champions with their stacked roster.

The WBC is always an exciting event.

It’s a celebration of the great game we all love and how it has touched different parts of the world and inspired some great players from all around the globe.

We’ll see great players suit up for their respective countries and battle it out to see who truly has the best ballclub by the end of it.

Things weren’t the same when the Classic was put on hold, but as we slowly transition into post-pandemic life, the WBC will be back soon.
